Hello, and thanks for stopping by!
I wanted to create this website to consolidate all my presentations, publications, and extension program resources. I hope you will find some helpful tools to maximize your farm's financial success.
I am an assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness at the University of Arkansas and a farm finance extension economist for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture. I hail from Plano, Texas where I was raised as a "city kid." Through my involvement in Future Farmers of America, I was able to find my true passion in life, agriculture. I graduated with my B.S. in Agribusiness in 2018, M.S. in Agricultural Economics in 2020, and Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics in 2023, all from Oklahoma State University. During my M.S. and Ph.D., I gained unique perspectives on the financial challenges of operating a farm and the use of value-added marketing channels to alleviate some of those challenges.
My interests surround farm finance, farm management, value-added marketing channels, and supply chain management. My extension program encompasses those concepts to help alleviate financial stress at the farm level through educational courses and convenient tools. My research focus pertains to commodity marketing channels where I worked with Oklahoma wheat producers, wheat breeders, and the Oklahoma Wheat Commission to evaluate the viability of value-added demand for wheat. Additionally, I have a special interest in the use of supply chain management post-pandemic.
